Review: The scent is seriously overpowering! The orange and coconut aromas fight for your attention; it's hard to tell which will win. When brewed, the smell is even stronger - which is impressive. The taste, however, is surprising. Despite the tea's name, you can't identify any vanilla. The rooibos base is quite potent, which makes this a heartier tea that you'd expect. Rooibos is famed for having multiple health benefits such as improving circulation, relieving skin conditions and stomach complaints, and encouraging restful sleep.
That said, there are far better rooibos tea options. With this blend, there is an immediate taste of fake orange, followed by a lingering after-taste of fake coconut that, even minutes later, won't leave your mouth. You find yourself driven to drink more of the tea, just to get rid of the coconut flavouring...only to find you've made the problem worse. The official website suggests adding sugar as desired. We can't understand why anyone would add sugar when this tea is already quite sickly, in scent and flavour.
(Note: Three Tulsi's husband enthused over this tea and said he 'loved' it! So you might still want to give it a try!)
