Caffeine Factor: Caffeine-free Organic Ingredients: 100% Price Range: £7.50 Cups Per Box: 40 (approx.)Review: This is an interesting one, because it's not made of your usual tea or even tisane ingredients. In fact, avoid this if you're vegan, as it contains egg white. It also has wheat starch, so it's not good for those trying to avoid gluten.
That said, we love this. It smells of Christmas spice and tastes like non-alcoholic mulled wine (that's even how T2 market it). The apple and hibiscus give it a strong flavour with a mild sweetness. The spices are milder than chai; they're just right. The overall blend is warming and full, with a sweet after-taste, presumably from the meringue. It's more like a low-calorie dessert than a drink. A great one for winter evenings, perhaps when you stand in your doorway listening to carol singers.
As ever with T2, remember that although it costs £7.50 a box, each box makes approximately 40 cups of tea; and as it's a tisane, you can get away with topping it up with boiling water to make a second (albeit slightly weaker) cup, meaning you can stretch the box to make around 80 cups. But that's a lot of tea, so you have to love the flavour to make this a worthwhile investment.
