Review: Oh dear. Unfortunately, you're not going to get much of a review from us on this one, because there isn't a lot to say. It smells of...hot water...freshly boiled in your kettle. Is that descriptive enough?
There is no taste of ginger, just a very faint feeling of heat at the back of the throat. We left the tea to brew for 15 minutes and still couldn't really taste anything - strange, considering this one has actual tea leaves in it. Yes, white tea is known for being weak, but it usually has a pleasant, relaxing flavour, which was totally absent from this blend. And somehow, the more it cooled down, the more we tasted a flavourless bitterness in our throats.
All in all, this is not at all worth the money. There are much better white teas and ginger infusions on the market, even from much cheaper companies like Twinings. It's hilarious that the last item in the ingredients list is 'flavour', as if they tried to throw it in as an after-thought...but failed.
Best time of year to drink this: Um...winter...because it's cold and you want hot water...? And maybe, if you don't need much (any) flavour, you might want to try this if you feel a bit run down. Maybe.
Best time of day to drink this: Um...we're going to say early in the day, only because this has real tea leaves, which contain a natural stimulant.
