Review: Another blend where the final ingredient is 'flavour', as if it was thrown in as an afterthought, but it still didn't liven up the drink.
A friend described the scent as 'diluted floor cleaner' - not at all appetising. Thankfully, it didn't taste like that, but we get her meaning. It's mildly citrusy and floral, but the general flavour is hot water.
The people at T2 suggested we try this alongside their Honey Honey flavour, and we concluded that they taste fairly similar. The only real difference is that this one is marginally sweeter and somehow not as pleasant. It takes away what we liked about Honey Honey and adds nothing to compete with it. Perhaps it's the inclusion of vanilla bean, an ingredient that often alarms us when we see it on the back of a tea box; we've been burned by it so many times before.
This drink isn't awful. But it's not at all refreshing; it even sticks in your mouth as you drink it, dehydrating you. We can't think of much positive to say about it, and it's definitely not worth the £7.50 price tag. If you really want that honeybush flavour, stick with Honey Honey.
Best time of year to drink this: We labelled Honey Honey as an all-year-rounder, but somehow this variation seems more like a cold-months drink
