The smell is disgusting, ultra-sweet and a bit like artificial vanilla - entirely unappetising. Fortunately, the taste isn't quite as bad. It's nothing spectacular, but we don't see why anyone would buy it. It's a bit artificial (no doubt from the 'flavour' they added) and soapy (perhaps from the sunflower petals). That said, it's slightly minty, and not bitter the way rooibos usually is.
So maybe if you want a bit of rooibos - and you really like the taste of toothpaste - this one's for you! But remember you have to love this infusion to spend the £7.50 on the box. You can re-brew and stretch it out to 80-120 cups - but that is a lot of rooibos toothpaste to drink....
Best time of year to drink this: Spring...?Best time of day to drink this: In the morning, maybe, as a black tea substitute (only because of the rooibos)
