Review: We can't recall how we got our hands on this blend - it was likely a gift. It's from a company established in Barcelona, with a website that allows to choose your country - France, Spain, Mexico, Saudi Arabia or the USA, with no mention of the UK, where we are based. It suggests this brand isn't distributed in the UK, yet somehow we have it. We could only get the Saudi Arabian version of the website to work, with all text in English but prices listed in Saudi Riyal. With further searching, we discovered you can buy it in the UK right here, and at a significant discount compared to the Saudi price.
This is one of the bluest teas we've ever brewed, although it quickly goes a dark purply red, probably from all that hibiscus. As there's no lavender or any other such blue flower in the ingredients list, we can't imagine where the blue might come from.
The smell is tart lemon sherbet, due to the lemongrass. Thankfully, the taste is not as strong as the smell (in other words, it doesn't taste like kitchen cleaner). It's a nice one, packed with flavour. It manages not to taste too much like any one individual ingredient, getting the balance just right. It's not like your typical fruit / berry teas, which all tend to taste like hibiscus, hibiscus and more hibiscus. We can actually taste the orange in this one. It's smooth but sharp at the same time, bright and soothing, and plenty delicious.
If you can get your hands on this one, we recommend it. It's a pretty good deal, as well - around £6 for 100g, when typically you could spend that much on half the tea. Even the standard Saudi pricing is quite good, when you think of how much tea you're getting for your money.
Best time of year to drink this: All year round, but especially in the summer
Best time of day to drink this: In the evening, as a mellow, soothing dessert tea (but without it being too sweet)
