This is a caffeine-free alternative to your traditional black chai. Using rooibos as a base, the aroma is spicy but slightly fruity - citrusy, even. Tasting it, most chai is very strong (especially the cloves), but this blend is light and mellow. We brewed it for 30 minutes and it was still delicately balanced, with no one spice overtaking the flavour. You can feel the cloves, but it's subtle. Overall, this is a pleasant, warming blend to drink at any time of day, but it's especially recommended for evenings. We can imagine it helping you de-stress after a long day at work, for instance, preparing you for a good night's sleep. While we like some traditional chai, this decaf alternative is a much-welcomed addition to the market.Best time of year to drink this: Anytime
