Our Review: This one’s sold as a natural aid for losing weight. Lots of reviewers swear by it, so it definitely has its benefits. Flavour-wise, however, we think it’s likely to divide people.

It smells like black tea – but fresher. There’s a damp, grassy aroma – long, thick grass, to be precise. The taste is similarly ‘planty’ – like real tea, but with a hint of nori (seaweed), no doubt because the lotus grows in water. This is mixed with a hint of…maybe pine trees – resinous wood of some kind. It’s very unusual, compared to other teas out there – unique, even.

Ginger liked it but said she’d probably get bored halfway through the cup. Tulsi liked it but found the seaweed edge to it a bit overwhelming after the first few sips. Tulsi’s husband said it was incredible, and he finished off Ginger and Tulsi’s cups. So this won’t be for everyone – but if you love seaweed, and you’re looking for a natural, healthy slimming aid, this one’s for you!
