Review: Hmm…fruit, mint and rooibos. They don’t really mix – at least, not in this blend. Although it smells minty and nice, the flavour is very artificial. We couldn’t really taste any berries, just ultra-sweet mint, and the aftertaste is awful. We’re not marking it avoid, because we can imagine someone out there liking it – but it really wasn’t for us.

Review: We were worried about the peach smell, especially when there’s no peach in the ingredients list. It must be the flavouring. It was very strong and we were dreading drinking it. We had good reason. It’s not very exciting – it’s just bleh. The flavouring ruins whatever else it might be, because it is so artificial, and it lingers disgustingly in your throat for ages afterward. Chamomile and rooibos also don’t mix well together. It’s incredibly sweet. With each sip, the experience gets worse. It’s a definite AVOID.

Review: You can distinctly smell the tea and the chai, but without being overpowered by spices. The taste is quite nice…if you love black tea…because that’s mostly what you get. But there is a really subtle chai flavour, without being sweet. It’s like having black tea with a mild edge, which we’re sure someone will like, because some chai brews are intense. We enjoyed this one.

Review: It’s a very weird aroma…a combination of scents that don’t really go together. It’s sweet, and a little like cleaning fluid. Generally, it doesn’t smell edible. The taste is very subtle ginger mixed with intense bitterness…and nothing else. We just didn’t like it. And that bitterness, and probably the artificial flavouring, just lingers in your mouth and strips it dry, making you desperate for plain water. We’d rather drink normal black tea. We’re marking this an AVOID.

As an aside, the ingredients list on the box ends with, ‘No B.S.’ But there’s artificial flavouring in that list…and that’s definitely B.S.

Review: This one is all wrong. It smells intensely rosy, a bit like Turkish Delight due to the rose petals and lemon (and flavouring). The flavour is weird. We weren’t sure if those ingredients really beong together. The box claims it’s a rosy variation on Earl Grey, so why no bergamot? Why lemongrass? It doesn’t remotely resemble Earl Grey. It’s quite bitter, despite not brewing it for long, and overpoweringly floral – like cheap, fake perfume. It also strips your mouth dry and leaves you desperate for a drink. It was an awful experience and we are marking it AVOID.

Review: This one smells fruity and pleasant, the way we’d expect from apple and hibiscus. it’s a bit tart and sweet, with an undercurrent of rooibos. The taste is quite nice…a bit vanilla-y from the rooibos, with a touch of tartness, perhaps helped along by that little addition of cranberry. It’s soothing and not too sweet – a good balance of ingredients that doesn’t taste artificial, despite the ‘flavouring’. It truly is ‘nicely spicy’ and we were eager to buy more. It’s a must-have.

Review: Note that there is no peach in this peach infusion…so you know there’s a lot of flavouring in there. The result is something disgusting. It smells overwhelmingly of fake peach, and it tastes similar. It doesn’t work with the bitter green tea at all. We just don’t know how anyone would enjoy this and we couldn’t finish the cup. It was an instant AVOID.

Review: This is another of those generic hibiscus / rosehip teas, with some ginger thrown in to try to jazz it up. The smell is very strong, but the taste is almost non-existent. We couldn’t identify much other than hibiscus, and even that was watery, with a lingering tartness. It’s not bad but we don’t really think it’s worth the price.

Review: Looking at the ingredients, we immediately decided this was another one of those fruity teas that are all more or less the same. It smells very strongly of strawberry, which is nice but likely down to the flavouring more than the 1% strawberry pieces. The flavour is very strong, too, and hard to pin down. After a while, we decided it was artificial rose…and strawberry Jolly Rancher sweets. It’s not awful, but it’s quite tart. We can imagine someone liking it, but we prefer other variations of this same sort of blend.

Review: So…mixed feelings about this one. It smells like green tea with a hint of orange – natural, not artificial, despite it having some flavouring. It’s pleasant, like a milder green tea, due to the edge of orange. It’s not too bitter, but also not too lemony, despite the lemongrass. There’s maybe a hint of jasmine in there, as well. We wouldn’t go out of our way to buy it, because we felt it was just okay and not really special enough to order online. But it was a lovely little combination of flavours that we’re sure someone will really like.
